    Let us tell you the story of this record.

    A long time ago Matthias (Down The Valley) ordered some significantly beautiful CD packaging from a printshop in Oregon, USA, but never used it. Years later, in 2016, when he found it somewhere in his house, he told Gerd (We Are Leaves) about it. That was when the idea was born to create a split-EP with cover versions of each other‘s songs on it.

    In summer 2019 we finally started recording. After a few months and with the help of Johnny Trouble (recording and mixing DTV songs) and Jens Huerkamp (mastering) we had finished the production. Thanks, sonic magicians!

    We could not be happier that our friend David Arzt provided us with a selection of his photographs for the EP cover and each one of the songs. He also put together the slick graphic design. Thank you Dave.

"Broken" spoke to me on a deep level. It is about trying to become your true self and at the same time alienate yourself from belief systems, people and places you once felt a part of. It’s about the tension of being true to yourself without wanting to hurt others. I can totally relate to it.
